Pressing was done on whole grapes. Fermentation occurred
separately for each variety, partly in stainless steel (max 64°F)
and partly in Allier oak barriques. Extended contact with fine
lees gave the wine great extract and aromatic complexity.

Aged in steel vats, then in horizontally stored bottles to reach
optimal evolution.

La Roncaia was founded in 1998 when the Fantinel family acquired the estate in Friuli Colli Orientali, establishing a boutique winery dedicated to expressing the unique terroir of one of the region’s most prestigious growing areas. Located across the hillside zones of Ramandolo, Nimis, Attimis, and Tarcento, the vineyards benefit from an ideal microclimate—protected by the Julian Alps and tempered by Adriatic breezes—along with marl and sandstone soils that provide optimal conditions for viticulture.
